PM’s intentions while repealing the three pro-capitalists farm laws had not been clean and honest. More than anything else he has done this out of electoral compulsions. However, in view of the farmer unions’ well-thought out reaction to this decision, it’s highly unlikely that his party would gain any benefit, whatsoever, let alone the intended goal of impressing the farmers and winning their hearts for them to vote for the BJP in the coming assembly election for the few states.
